I applied patinas to the raw brass medallions and sealed with museum wax. The necklace opening is about 19½". The chain, clasp and flower component are steel with an antique bronze finish. The medallion itself is a little smaller than a penny.

A Czech glass Saturn bead with a faceted edge and two red bicone faceted glass beads add extra sparkle.

I fashioned the ear wires from solid unfinished brass, wire, angled the tops and lightly hammered the front edges. I smoothed the tips of the ear wires for your comfort and safety.

Sari Silk Long Dangle Earrings

This is the first pair of earrings I made using sari silk. It has metal findings with antiqued brass finish, and, of course, sari silk!

Women in India make sari silk ribbons from sari factory scraps. It is a cottage industry, and a way for them to earn a decent living. I love supporting them in their quest for a better life, and the silks are such beautiful colors!

Amber Glass and Silver Earrings with Little Bells

I made these pierced dangle earrings with silver plated wire and beads, accented by amber faceted glass beads. The silver beads are silver plate over acrylic, which keeps them lightweight.

These charming earrings each have a little tinkling bell at the bottom. They are silver plate, which I oxidized and polished a bit.

They are 2 3/8" long and weigh about 1/10 ounce each.
