About Resin Clay:

Apoxie Sculpt, the brand I use, is a two-part air-dry resin clay. It is super hard when cured. Before its adoption into the jewelry-making world epoxy clay was created for automotive and plumbing repairs. It is, for all practical purposes, unbreakable! Apoxie Sculpt is formulated for sculpting and jewelry; I use black.

About Dark Annealed Steel Wire:

Dark annealed steel wire has a natural black carbon coating that comes to the surface during the annealing process.

I have cleaned off loose carbon and sealed the wire with a coat of microcrystalline wax to give it a lovely sheen and help prevent rust.

Keep away from moisture and apply an occasional light coat of car wax, such as Turtle Wax, if needed.

Purple and Pink Earrings with Pearlized Coin Bead

These glamorous dangle earrings feature a faceted purple glass briolette topped by a pearlized, texturized glass bead.

A silverplate Saturn bead spacer sits below the briolette. Beneath it, a pink partially mirrored bead adds sparkle no matter which way it's turned, and the final touch is a small fuscia glass bicone bead adding balance and perfection!

Ceramic Heart Om Earrings

Update: This trio is now available as a set. There is only one set available (until sold!) See it here.

The red bead is carnelian, the white is white turquoise, and the blue is an unknown dark blue stone I got from a vintage bracelet. The mustard colored ceramic hearts are flecked with brown - very earthy!

Wire wrapping adds a handmade touch. The red and white earrings are wrapped with dark brown craft wire; the blue are wrapped with oxidized raw copper wire.

For a bit of Asian boho flair I made these brass elephant earrings. They're lovely for daytime and evening wear.

The red and golden yellow glass beads are irregular, which adds to the whimsy and also makes each pair unique.

Sari Silk Long Dangle Earrings

This is the first pair of earrings I made using sari silk. It has metal findings with antiqued brass finish, and, of course, sari silk!

Women in India make sari silk ribbons from sari factory scraps. It is a cottage industry, and a way for them to earn a decent living. I love supporting them in their quest for a better life, and the silks are such beautiful colors!

Silver and Green Glass Bead Dangle Earrings

Silver and green dangle earrings with mint green pearlized glass beads and a larger faceted green glass bead, softly juxtaposed against the silver of the bicone beads and long teardrop dangle.

All metal in these earrings is silver plate. The teardrop dangle is made by Trinity Brass Company, known for their fine quality. The silver bicone beads are all silver plate over acrylic, which helps keep the earrings lightweight.

They're 3 1/4" long and weigh about 1/10 ounce.

Copper Wire Coil Earrings with Emerald Green Glass Beads

I fashioned each earring from a single piece of raw copper wire, which I hammered, oxidized, and polished.

They are very lightweight, weighing 1/20 ounce or less each. They are about 1 1/2" long from the top of the ear wire.

The faceted emerald green glass beads add a lovely bit of color and sparkle!

Amber Glass and Silver Earrings with Little Bells

I made these pierced dangle earrings with silver plated wire and beads, accented by amber faceted glass beads. The silver beads are silver plate over acrylic, which keeps them lightweight.

These charming earrings each have a little tinkling bell at the bottom. They are silver plate, which I oxidized and polished a bit.

They are 2 3/8" long and weigh about 1/10 ounce each.
